Ron's Ramblings

First of all, Carolyn and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
This is a time when we who are believers celebrate the advent of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Because of God sending His Son, we have Life. The Bible says in one of my favorite scriptures, "But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." Gal 4:4-7 (KJV) Because of His Advent, we are children of God who will live with Him forever in Heaven and that is something to celebrate and He lives in us!
This morning, I was contacted by Dean Miller about the shower trailer. It will be ready for us the first of December. The Association voted at the last quarterly meeting to purchase it at a $5000.00 cost to us. It is worth far more. Dr. Garland and others will get it in December and bring it to us. Thank you to those who go to pick it up.
As some of you read this, I will be preparing to leave for Venezuela to preach a Revival Meeting, do other preaching and meeting and sharing with the pastors of Yaracuy Baptist Association to encourage them and help them in any way we can. Pastor David Gary is going on this trip with me. Please remember us and our meetings in prayer. I am always amazed how God works through members of this Association to help minister around the World. Each time that I have accepted an invitation to preach in another country, some individual has stepped up to pay my air fare. I know that God will richly bless these individuals as they have a great part in whatever is accomplished. In the trip to Belize, August 2010, 3 were saved as a result of the message that I preached and I baptized five that evening. I am excited to see what the Lord will do in Venezuela on this trip. Thank you to all of these who give, pray and go to serve Him. Remember, we have too many "missions minded" people and not enough "missions active" people. Would you switch over to "Missions Active" if you are not already there?

Again, Merry Christmas and love to you all,

Ron
